1 – Slow Fiction

They found each other through Craigslist ads and mutual friends, started making music in 2021, and are now taking Garage Rock to the next level. Slow Fiction released their sophomore EP Crush in May, but I suggest you dive into their entire catalog. Lead vocalist Julia Vassallo is an absolute force, often reminding me of Patti Smith.

2 – Soft Loft

📍 Switzerland

Formed in the spring of 2022, Soft Loft released their debut full-length album in March of 2024. The band combines Dream Pop with soft Indie-Folk vibes, led by Jorina Stamm’s beautiful vocals. This comment on YouTube pretty much sums it up:

3 – Walt Disco

Somewhere between Talking Heads, The Cure, and David Bowie, Walt Disco is all about self-love and self-expression. The Scottish band is breaking gender norms and genre barriers. They released their debut album, The Warping, on June 14.
